How to remodel a bathroom yourself

Many are afraid of bathroom remodel, especially when you have to do it yourself. And yet, the alteration of your own house cannot but rejoice, because every day you see the results of your labors.

Sarah and Tom, a young couple from Florida, decided to transform the tiny bathroom, which is only 2 m² in size! Almost the entire robot was done independently, only once they turned to the help of a plumber to replace pipes.

After dismantling the old bathtub, tiles and plumbing with wiring, the spouses prepared a work plan. The first step was to do the piping and install the heated towel rail on our own.

The walls of the old house, erected back in 1976, had to be leveled due to drops of up to 5–6 cm. As for the bath, the couple decided to save money by making the tank on their own! The frame welded by a man was installed without difficulty, after which they started facing.

The empty space under the bathroom was used wisely: two drawers were added for storing things, and a special door was installed next to it for servicing the plumbing.

There is no room in a miniature room, so the washing machine was placed right under the sink. Meanwhile, the mosaic bathtub itself has turned out to be quite wide - two people or a baby bath can easily fit in it.

The problem of the grate and cork was solved by a drain like a kitchen sink. The ceiling, made of PVC panels, was fitted with three built-in lights and a household fan. The room now looks much more spacious!

The arrangement of the bathroom must be approached with responsibility. In addition to the rational use of space, you need to think about good lighting, waterproofing, and a hood. Also, the room is quite dangerous due to the wet floor, so you should think about heated tiles.

Self-construction and installation of the bathtub took much more time and effort, but the couple are happy with the result. Agree, no matter how frightening the word "bathroom remodel" sounds , its successful completion is a pleasure.
